Kemerovo State University

Established in 1973 as the successor to Kemerovo Pedagogical Institute, Kemerovo State University (Оéмеровский госуда́рственный университе́т) is known as KemSU. The Kemerovo Oblast's premier center for education and research has five sections located in Belovo, Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Novokuznetsk, Prokopyevsk, and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

With a total area of 120,000 m2, the main campus comprises 17 instructional laboratory and administrative buildings. There are 70 chairs spread across 20 departments. more than 10,000 students enrolled full-time. 21,000 students total, including those enrolled part-time. More than 900 faculty members, including: 380 senior lecturers; 80 Doctors of Science; 35 academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other academies. The designation of "Honored Workers" is given to seventeen individuals. Approximately 500 PhD candidates and post-graduates. The Five Councils on Theses.

The Kuzbass Philharmonic Hall in Kemerovo is not far from KemSU, which is a state-of-the-art university with a sophisticated infrastructure. Named the 2017 Kemerovo Region's flagship university and placed in the TOP-10 Russian flagship institutions in 2018, KemSU has maintained its standing as one of the most well-liked Russian universities in both domestic and foreign rankings.
